CULTURAL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS

Each month we feature a different local cultural attraction on our website. Walton residents can visit the featured attraction of the month with their family members, and Walton will reimburse them 90% of the ticket price for admission!

ATLANTA

September:
The Center for Civil and Human Rights

An engaging and inspiring cultural attraction that links the 1960's civil rights struggles around the world to today. This brand new center includes a collection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s personal letters, speeches, notes, documents and books loaned to Morehouse College, his alma mater. 
Located at 100 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd., Atlanta 30313 
Open 7 days a week, 10am - 5pm.
Adults $15, Children 3-12 $10, Seniors 65+ $13, Students with ID $13.

Disney on Ice: Frozen 
Enter a fantastical winter wonderland beyond all imagination. You'll be magically whisked away to the wintery world of Arendelle, where you will be dazzled by amazing special effects and astonishing skating. 
Tickets are available to Walton residents for just $5 each. Tickets must be purchased in advance by contacting Pat Newman at pnewman@waltoncommunities.com. Tickets are extremely limited and are available on a first come first served basis. For Walton residents only. Sorry, this offer cannot be extended to anyone who does not live in your Walton household. 
Tickets are only available for the Sunday, October 12th, 2:30pm performance. All children 2 and older must have a ticket. 

Chattahoochee Nature Center
Want an outdoor adventure not far from downtown Atlanta? The Chattahoochee Nature Center is the place to go. Whether you enjoy visiting the American bald eagle and other birds of prey, watching butterflies in the garden or simply hiking almost three miles of trails, the Nature Center provides a family break that can fill a morning or an afternoon. 
Located at 9135 Willeo Road, Roswell. 
Open Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday noon-5pm.

AUGUSTA

September:
Sleeping Beauty at the Imperial Theater
"Sleeping Beauty" tells the classic story of  young woman who falls under the spell of  a wicked fairy and how she is saved by the Lilac Fairy and a handsome Prince. This timeless fairy tale will be magically brought to life on the stage of the Imperial Theatre by the Columbia County Ballet. A wonderful performance for young and old alike. 
Walton Communities will reimburse up to $16 per ticket to residents who attend the Friday, September 19th, 7:00 pm show. For Walton residents only. Attendees must live in your Walton Oaks or Legacy Oaks household. Sorry, this offer is not available for extended family members or friends. 

October:
Augusta Museum of History
Visit the region's home for history. Featured are a number of permanent exhibitions, including the award-winning Augusta's Story - a 12,000-year journey through local history; a restored 1917 steam locomotive, special exhibits that include: The Godfather of Soul, Mr. James Brown, Celebrating a Grand Tradition, the Sport of Golf and six life-size statues of golf's greatest players and much, much more. 
Admission: Adults $4, Seniors $3, Children 6-18 $2, Children 5 and under FREE. Located at 560 Reynolds Street, Augusta. Open Thursday-Saturday, 10:00-5:00; Sunday, 1:00-5:00.
