Serving the needs of people is what Walton Communities is all about. Sometimes, though, the needs are outside the boundaries of our apartment communities. It is our privilege to partner with some outstanding non-profit organizations that serve the needs of folks in our community. Here are just a few that we support and are involved in:
Circle of Light
Walton is proud to partner with Community Uplift Ministries in providing power and light to the people in Africa. Their vision is to meet the basic energy needs of the poor living in rural areas of sub-Saharan Africa.This unique ministry provides electric light and gas cooking by way of propane-fueled generators. Good Samaritan Health Center of Cobb
The Good Samaritan Health Center of Cobb is a nonprofit healthcare practice which provides a comprehensive range of services for patients without health insurance or the means to afford care. Atlanta Youth Project
The Atlanta Youth Project provides the programming for our community Adventure Centers, offering a free after-school enrichment program for Kindergarten through 5th grade at our communities where Adventure Centers are available. The mission of this nonprofit, faith-based organization is to establish relationships in urban neighborhoods and churches to provide the support, resources and encouragement necessary to build vibrant communities. Center for Family Resources
Since 1960, the Center for Family Resources has helped thousands of low-income families with employment, education and housing services, leadership development programs, mentoring opportunities and temporary financial and food assistance. They are committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by helping families acquire the resources they need to become independent and self-sufficient. Walton is very involved with this wonderful nonprofit, with a team member serving on the Board of Directors, and through our financial and physical support of its activities and programs. Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre
The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre provides unprecedented support to educators in metro Atlanta through its education programs. The best local and national touring educational artists deliver programs in music, dance and theater that have direct tie-ins to classroom curriculum. The ARTSBRIDGE Education Program provides local students with an opportunity to experience theater first-hand. Walton Communities is proud to sponsor this fine program for students. Partners In Education
Walton partners with all schools that the children in our communities attend. The Partners in Education program pairs businesses and organizations with schools to provide volunteer support, extra funding or unique services matched to the school's needs. We believe that community involvement in our schools is both necessary and desired.
Parents with a Purpose
This nonprofit organization provides support to single parents by organizing a Christmas and Back to School Outreach event and by helping them through everyday challenges. For more information, visit www.milford.org.

Sheltering Arms Daycare
