Camp Scholarships
Camp scholarships are for the purpose of providing children with an opportunity to have a summer camp experience who normally might not be able to experience one because of financial constraints.
Scholarships are for current Walton Communities residents in good standing and for the children of current Walton team members. Scholarships are for students who are rising first graders through high school students. Students must be a Walton Communities resident (listed on the lease agreement) or the child of a current Walton team member at the time of camp.
Scholarships are available for certain day camps* and overnight camps*. Scholarships are only available for non-profit organizations. Scholarships are not available for daycare facilities that offer “summer camp”.
Participants may choose from Camp Grace, WinShape Day Camp, WinShape overnight and YMCA Camp High Harbor.
A Camp Scholarship Committee evaluates all applications. Your property manager is a member of this committee.
Scholarship funds are mailed directly to camps. No funds are given to parents/guardians.
Applications are due February 27th . Notifications will be mailed or emailed by March 16th . No applications will be accepted after February 27th .
Applications that are not 100% complete will be automatically rejected. Please take the time to answer ALL the questions accurately and completely.

If for any reason a child does not attend camp for the entire agreed upon time of the scholarship, then the unused funds must be returned to Walton Communities. If the camp will not do this, then it is the parent's responsibility to repay Walton Communities for any monies spent.
The amount that Walton will pay toward a summer camp scholarship depends on the amount of funds available and the cost of the camp. It is important for parents/guardians to remember that YOU will have to pay a portion for your child’s summer camp, too. Funds are limited and camp scholarships are made available to all children who live in our communities.

- *The committee reserves the right to decline any camp.
- * Note: Scholarship funds are limited and the parent(s) musts provide a portion of the camp fee and transportation to and from the camp
